Is there a difference between plant oil and plant extract? If so, please explain. Thanks?

A plant extract is a somewhat more general term, in that it can include substances that are not oils. Some plant constituents are water soluble. The substances in the extract will depend on the type of extractant that is used.

Plant oils can be extracted with organic extractants, like alcohols, etc. They can also be extracted by cold pressing, which squeezes out all liquids from the plant, and then the oils are separated later (sometimes by allowing the liquid mixture to just settle).
