What is seal oil used for in a power plant, and where are seal oil coolers located?

is seal oil used in the turbine or generator or both?...is there a website where I can find pictures of all of this, particularly seal oil coolers?

thanks for your help! What is seal oil used for in a power plant, and where are seal oil coolers located?
Seal oil it typically used on rotating equipment to provide the lubricant and final sealing medium for the mechanical seals on the shafts of turbines and compressors.

The coolers are usually simple shell and tube exchangers with seal oil on the shell side and cooling water on the tube side. In some circumstances, you might have an air cooled exchanger similar but not exactly like a car radiator .What is seal oil used for in a power plant, and where are seal oil coolers located?
Seal oil forms a seal between smooth metal surfaces in machinery like your car engine. I'm enclosing a link so you can look at the file and get some idea of some types of seals and where the seal oil is. Seal oil doesn't come from sea mammals! Its just a certain thickness (viscosity) and refinement of oil best suited for this purpose.
