What happens if leaves of a green plant are coated with oil?

It is like closing our nose and mouth tigtly. The leaves are important organ of the plant which synthsize the food for the plant. For this vital process easy gaseous exhnage is required which is done through the stomata present on the leaf surface. These are the tiny pores and if they get blocked by oily layer then the leaf is sure to die. What happens if leaves of a green plant are coated with oil?
If leaves of the green plant are coated with oil, respiratory system will be blocked. It will tun pale after sometime.Plant will die.

It is just like taking poison.

So, never put oil at the green leaves.

It's better to clean with fresh water. What happens if leaves of a green plant are coated with oil?
They con not produce their starch, the food for the plant nor breathe thro .Photo-synthesis will not happen as they can not reach the carbon dioxide in air. Subsequently the leaves will turn yellow and the plant will die.
The openings in the leaves - the stomata will be blocked and so gas exchange will be prevented. As a result no CO2 will be available for photosynthesis and the plant will eventually die.
1.there will be no exchange of gases.

2.transpiration will not take place.

3.stomata will get sunken.
It will die
it will turn pale as stops breathing
